The Lingrow Method – Learning That Adapts to You
There’s no single universal method that works for everyone. Truly, there isn’t. At Lingrow, we combine your individuality, modern techniques, and our years of experience.
- In your first lesson, we get to know you
Experienced tutors quickly discover what works best for you. They take into account:
– your previous experience with foreign languages
– the senses you use most when learning
– and, most importantly, your goal.
After you fill in the application, you’ll have an introductory consultation with Erika Rapavá, Lingrow’s founder, who will offer a suitable course, choose the right tutor, and help you set your learning goals.
- No “Miracle” Method – A Personalized Plan
At Lingrow, we don’t rely on a single textbook or rigid framework. We create a personalized plan that leads you to fluency. We combine various approaches, with a strong focus on the auditory method (from Latin “audire” – to hear).
After all, how do you know you understand a foreign language? By hearing it. And what doesn’t enter through the ears can’t come out of the mouth.
- Our Motto: “Don’t say go, say let’s go.”
Learning a language is a journey, not a sprint. Rome wasn’t built in three days – and you won’t master a language in a crash course. Knowledge needs time to settle, to connect, and to be reinforced through repetition.
The key attributes are:
– consistency
– motivation
– the right chemistry – trust between student and teacher.
- How You Grow with Lingrow
I Listen & Absorb the Language (A1 – A2)
– I understand what I hear, repeat words and phrases, sing along
– I build my basic vocabulary and grammar
– I develop a sense for the melody and rhythm of the language
I Try to Speak (A2 – B1)
– I create my own sentences (mistakes are welcome!)
– I expand my vocabulary and understand language structure
– I connect new knowledge with what I already know
I Speak Fluently & Confidently (B2 – C1)
– I use natural phrases, correct intonation, and pronunciation
– I understand professional texts, movies, and podcasts
– I can present, write, and speak without stress, minimizing and correcting my own errors
- Our Teachers Know Where They’re Taking You
Every lesson at Lingrow has a clear plan — not only for that class, but for the entire trimester and academic year. Teachers know exactly where they want to take you and how to help you reach the goals you set for yourself.
- Children and Adults Learn Differently — Yet Similarly
You might wonder: “Is your method the same for children and adults?” Our experience says: adults love games and engaging activities just as much as kids do. That’s why we adapt lessons by age, but every class includes activity, emotion, and practical language use.
How We Teach Children
– Lessons are dynamic and full of activity changes
– We develop all skills at once – listening, speaking, reading, and writing
– Children remember best through experience – every lesson and camp is full of emotions and memorable moments
– We respect that children’s memory works differently, so we teach through play and natural interaction
How We Teach Adults
Adults need clear structure and goals. That’s why every lesson is built on three pillars:
- Lesson topic – what we’ll learn today
- Method – how we’ll achieve it
- Review & summary – so you know exactly what you’ve mastered
We also recommend podcasts, videos, and other resources to help you engage your senses and live the language outside the classroom.
